Help shape the future of Fraser Coast arts and culture
Fraser Coast residents passionate about local arts, heritage, and culture are encouraged to apply to join Council’s Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Advisory Committee.
Cr Sara Diana Faraj said applications close Thursday April 24 for the 2025/26 RADF Advisory Committee, offering residents the chance to have a say on arts, heritage, and cultural matters.
“The Fraser Coast boasts a rich and lively cultural scene, and Council is committed to providing opportunities for the community to engage with the arts, celebrate our heritage, and embrace cultural diversity,” she said.
“By being part of the committee, community members will advise Council on matters relating to the Fraser Coast RADF program and assess applications to its community funding program.
“It’s a fulfilling opportunity to champion local arts, heritage, and culture—not just for artists, but for the whole community.
“RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Council which invests in quality arts and cultural experiences based on priorities determined locally.
Cr Faraj said to be eligible to be a committee member, applicants must live, work, study or have connections to the Fraser Coast local government area and meet at least one of the following selection criteria:

- Be a representative from a local arts related organisation with demonstrated knowledge, experience, or interest in arts, culture, the creative industries or place-based industries.
“Council is determined to create connected communities through our places, spaces and people and programs like the RADF help us achieve that goal.”
