After being closed for two years for extensive refurbishment and strategic planning, Hervey Bay Regional Gallery reopened to the public in April 2022. Through curatorial and engagement programs HBRG platforms hyper-local stories with timely and nationally significant themes. Hervey Bay Regional Gallery aims to become a leader in our commitment to platforming Butchulla perspectives, truth-telling, and the exploration of complex histories and contemporary identities of the Fraser Coast region through art.
We welcome you to book a class excursion to the gallery to give your students unparalleled access to the best of local and national art in Hervey Bay. A group visit can be tailored to the ages and interests of your class –get in touch to find out more and book your excursion.

At The Story Bank, we believe in supporting our region’s educators to inspire the next generation. We’ve developed a suite of new educational programs for Early Years and Upper Primary educators which offer fun, engaging opportunities for collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. These programs are explicitly linked to the Australian National Curriculum requirements and deliver core curriculum concepts through hands-on learning experiences. To help you plan your excursion, we’re offering free entry to educators – just show proof of employment in education to our visitor services team upon entry.
Interested? To organise your excursion, please email storybank@frasercoast.qld.gov.au.
