What we are looking for:
Experienced communications or digital marketing professional with a speciality in social media optimisation and engagement? We’re looking for a Communications and Social Media Officer to join our team at Fraser Coast Regional Council to take responsibility for our social media sites. You’ll ensure our messaging is appropriate and reaching the correct audiences and reflective of current trends. You’ll play a key role in determining our communication strategies and setting our forward work plan.
The role will involve:
- Creating content for our social media platforms that engage the desired audiences
- Monitoring online conversations and responses, maintaining a safe and fair online space
- Reporting on and analysing performance of our platforms
- Working closely with other team members in the planning and execution of campaigns
- Providing photography and using graphic design tools
- Identifying and incorporating social media trends
