Unreliable Memories / Travelling Diaries: Elena Churilova
Showcasing the vibrancy and wonderful diversity of places lived in and visited across Australia - the land and the city, the country and the town, the small and the big.
Wherever she travels, Elena always looks for a resonant concept in ordinary things and local scenery. Many of her paintings are completed on site and she aims to capture the emotion - atmosphere, light and movement - in her distinctive lyrical painting style which combines reality and fantasy.
