Showcasing a series of large scale bold and colourful abstract textile works combining various artistic techniques such as hand-dyeing, fabric printing, appliqué, and stitching.

Rebecca and Sharon have been working using the medium of fabric quilts to create improvisational artwork.

Abstraction II is developing the figure ground tension interplay of the work to evoke reaction.

Rebecca’s work exhibits examples of circular abstraction, and abstractions of ant hills.

Sharon’s work exhibits examples of circular abstraction, and interconnections.

The process of abstraction allows quilts to reflect the artists' inner thoughts and emotions, fostering a deeper connection with the audience. As the artists' vision evolves during creation, the final pieces become visually striking and thought-provoking works that explore the nuances of the human experience.

Both artists have studied under the seminal US textile artist Nancy Crow.
