Funding Opportunity: APAX Travel Bursary

Back

APAX is the national arts market and professional development gathering for presenters, producers, artists and industry leaders to develop tours and cultivate the relationships that deliver presentation outcomes for audiences across Australia.

In 2023, APAX will be hosted in Cairns, from Monday 28 August to Friday 1 September with an online advance pitching program on 17 August. The program is packed with engaging sessions designed to connect and energise the performing arts sector in Australia. The program also features a series of sessions designed to support new delegates to the event, such as the First Timers, First Base, First Nations Delegate Connect and dedicated networking time.

PAC Australia is now inviting delegates to apply for a limited number of Travel Bursaries to provide financial support for costs associated with attending APAX in person. Bursaries can support flights, accommodation, ground transport and per diems as well as an additional contribution for unwaged independents.

Bursaries are available for artists, producers, and presenters from New South Wales, the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia. PAC Australia acknowledges the generous support of the APAX travel bursaries from Arts NT, Arts South Australia, Arts Tasmania, Create NSW, the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Western Australia.
