Shanay Prince is an artist and art teacher living in the beautiful Fraser Coast, QLD. In 2013 she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design in Auckland, NZ. In 2014 she completed a Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary) at University of Auckland, NZ.
Shanay is a multi-disciplinary artist, often creating works in pencil, pen, paint and film. Dipping in between real and surreal imagery, her intricately detailed portraits are inspired by personal experiences, yet invite the viewer to construct their own narrative.
As a high school art teacher, Shanay also engages in student coordination of murals throughout Maryborough, QLD. She has been commissioned by the Fraser Coast Council to create public art within the Fraser Coast
