Homemade Craft Market Finds a Home

Organisers of the Bush to Bay Fraser Coast Markets are calling for artisans and market enthusiasts to make the most of the “perfect” venue they’ve discovered – the Maryborough Showgrounds.
“We’ve jumped from venue to venue due to Covid-19 and the restrictions on numbers but nowhere else really suited our needs,” co-organiser Kel Mott said.
“But now we’ve found the showgrounds, we’re going gangbusters!”
Ms Mott said that since settling into the showgrounds and focusing solely on products made by the stallholders themselves, people they know, or Australian-based businesses, they haven’t looked back.
“We now have up to 80 stalls from local artisans and food vendors, as well as amusements for the kids."
“Bush to Bay is where market-goers can get quality handmade products such as leatherwork, children’s clothing, ceramics, jewellery, toys and much more.
“We’re in the main pavilion and Witches Hat. Being there enables us to have the kid’s entertainment in the grassed area, and all the food vans in another area.
“There’s plenty of car parking space and being on the Bruce Highway, it’s easy for people to find us when coming from Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Gympie, Biggenden and beyond.”
Bush to Bay runs every two to three months with the next two on Sunday, 26 September, and 28 November, from 9am to 1pm.
